This is the sixth release of a eight coin series featuring Australia's favorite nocturnal animals. This stunning silver coin features an inner panel design of a Masked Owl in pure Australian opal. the outer panel of the coin features eucalypt leaves, blossoms, native flowers and a Waning Gibbous moon. The Southern Cross - a renowned star group which is only visible in the Southern hemisphere is also depicted. The reverse design is by Aleysha Howarth. The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. The coin will come in its original Mint issued prestigious presentation case where a light turns on as you open the lid, to represent the moon shining down on the nocturnal creature and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
